As the header suggests, it's been a long time since I posted on my blog. A lot has transpired and it has taken some time to adjust. I retired in June of 2014 after 25 years of teaching. I did so much knitting and quilting before I broke my wrist in March after falling on black ice. I still continued to knit, where there's a will there's a way, as it mended. I also decided to put my house on the market. I was raised in this house and it was filled with memories and decades of stuff. I began the long journey of getting rid of things, fixing things and showing. In two months my house was sold, and after 6 different closing dates, I settled into my two bedroom condo. It has taken a little time to adjust to a new area but I like calling my landlord when anything needs to be done. He's great. There's a pool and best of all an ice cream parlor on the corner and the owners make the ice cream. It's now time to get back to knitting and quilting. Oh I forgot to mention my wrist is in a cast following surgery. It didn't heal correctly. I currently have three quilts and several knitting projects in the works. I am also teaching myself to knit socks. So look forward to regular posts from now on.

Shawl for. 95 year old's birthday.
It was made for a petite little woman. My girl friend is modeling she's 5'9 with broad shoulders. It should be fine. She was one of my new students last night. I taught them the knit stitch. Ugh one of them was a lefty.

Great Baby Shower Gifts.
The quilts both fit the colors and theme of the nursery The princess fabric was a great score on eBay. I always use flannel on the back to make it soft.
