I am currently working on two projects. The first project is a block of the month project. I go to a quilt shop that is quite a distance from my home but they have awesome fabric. In March they start a new block of the month project and it continues until January. They said currently about 700 women are participating in this project. Each month you receive fabric, the pattern for the block of the month and the instructor demonstrates the assembly process. I am making a quilt for a double bed. It will take 20-12 inch blocks. I have 10 blocks completed so far. I have to make eight extra blocks to make my double quilt. We are using Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Collector's Edition Vol.4 for patterns.
Below are four of my blocks and the quilt I make three years ago with the same group. Mom and I went together and it was a fun Saturday morning adventure. Her completed quilt is on a bed in someone's home, but I held onto mine. I made mine by hand and it is warm and comfy.
